Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, was announced as the winner of the Business Leader of the Year Award at the inaugural Positive Luxury Awards held at the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London. At a ceremony that celebrated sustainability and innovation within the luxury industry, Nadja Swarovski was commended for her inspiring leadership in this sector, and for her efforts to drive social responsibility and sustainability initiatives at Swarovski.
The judging panel included; Paul Polman, Co-founder of Imagine and Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce; Simone Cipriani, Officer of the United Nations and Amber Valetta, Model, Actress and Activist. They recognized Nadja’s incredible work strengthening Swarovski’s impressive sustainability credentials and noted her launch of the company’s commitment to Conscious Luxury in 2018, producing crystals, lab-created stones, genuine gemstones and jewelry which are responsibly sourced and crafted with care. Diana Verde Nieto co-founder and CEO of Positive Luxury celebrated her success, “Nadja Swarovski is a trailblazer in social responsibility, leading Swarovski’s commitment to conscious luxury and the UNSDGs. Nadja Swarovski has driven the company’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and its partnership with the UN Global Compact and the UN Women’s Empowerment Program to implement more sustainable practices within the organization. She has also spearheaded the Conscious Design initiative launched in 2019 in collaboration with Central Saint Martins, demonstrating Swarovski’s inspirational leadership within the luxury industry to promote sustainability and spark positive change.
The Swarovski Foundation was also shortlisted for the Better World Initiative of the Year Award for its philanthropic initiatives and vision to spark positive change by fostering culture and creativity, promoting human empowerment and preserving the environment.
