“I love embroidery and embellishment, it is 100% part of the Koché DNA! It is particularly interesting to twist sportswear or casual pieces with crystals,” she said. “Crystals are fascinating: the way they shine and sparkle is always different. Each piece embroidered with Swarovski crystals is by definition unique.”
Two Swarovski garments walked the stadium runway: a lace and crystal black jacket worn atop a sports bra and colorful track pants, and a stand-out maxi pieced together from 14 different soccer jerseys featuring French lace embroidery and 10,000 crystals and crystal pearls. Its bright patches mimic the honeycomb lines of a soccer ball – a theme filtered throughout the collection on a range of dresses and separates in voluminous silhouettes and luxe fabrics.
Accessories included a high-shine soccer ball covered entirely with 2,700 crystals and Instagram-worthy nails stacked with chunky stones.
Female empowerment and diversity – values Swarovski is proud to stand by – were key in the presentation of this collection, inspiring a miscellaneous cast of models that featured professionals and amateurs in various races and genders.
Koché commented: “All the story of Koché is to put people together; no matter sex, countries, background etc... I love the idea that shared values of openness and curiosity lead people together in the world of Koché.”
This season marks the seventh time Koché has collaborated with Swarovski.
