Swarovski Fashion Accessories Prize Finalists Revealed
Fresh perspectives elevate the landscape of fashion. Looking forward, the next generation of accessories designers have the power to shape desires and help the art flourish. Knowing this, 10 young designers will be given the opportunity to exhibit micro collections at the international fashion and photography Hyères festival in southeastern France and be the focus of a high-production festival video. These Swarovski Fashion Accessories Prize finalists are the future and, therefore, represent a host of nationalities including France, Kazakhstan, Finland, Switzerland and Denmark/Australia. We honor Wendy Andreu, Marina Chedel, Alexandre Girard, Christophe Lhote, Emma Montague, Noémie Nivelet, Mayeul Reignault, Thibault Rodde et Sandrine Pachecus, Eeva Ronka and Sofya Samareva.
Boutique founders, luxury brand designers, journalists, photographers and editors formed the jury that chose the Finalists. This elite group assessed more than 100 entries on January 25, 2017 with Prize President and Designer Pierre Hardy heading up the meeting in Paris.
Three months from now, the chosen fashion upstarters will reveal their fresh breathtaking bags, shoes, jewelry, hats and sunglasses – many opting to display brilliant, provided Swarovski crystals – and establish the future of fashion accessories design.
