During a conference debate titled Fashioning Philanthropy: Giving Back to Create Change, Executive Board Member Nadja Swarovski shared Swarovski founder Daniel Swarovski’s steadfast beliefs concerning care of people and protecting the environment. Further she explained the evolution and implementation of Swarovski’s company values. Included in these efforts is the continued focus on sustainability throughout the entire supply chain and Swarovski’s certification from the Responsible Jewellery council for the Gemstones business.
Opening with a welcome from HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, the summit included several keynote speeches from industry and government leaders, including Hassan Pierre Founder of Maison de Mode, Anna Gedda, Head of Sustainability at H&M, Rick Ridgeway, VP of Public Engagement at Patagonia, Burak Cakmak, Dean of the School of Fashion at Parsons, and Elzbieta Bienkowska, EU Commissioner for Industry. Panel discussions were held with leaders from brands such as Adidas, LVMH Group, Vivienne Westwood, and Kering among others.
Preceding the summit, Mario Testino debuted his first Copenhagen exhibition, No Limits, and HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark hosted an exclusive dinner at the palace to kick off the events.
