The Swarovski Foundation Centre for Learning is the epicenter of a creative future, a learning campus within the Design Museum helping to develop and nurture the next generation of talent. The space is built to inspire, excite and engage, exemplifying the value of design as a potent and optimistic force for change. By bringing together the worlds of formal education, informal learning, and professional design, the Swarovski Foundation and the Design Museum act to foster a new generation of world-class designers. “The Swarovski Foundation Centre for Learning is vital to the Design Museum’s purpose: that everyone understands the value of design, “says Deyan Sudjic, Director of the Design Museum.
Honoring the museum with a visit, HRH Prince Philip took a tour of the new facility, marking a new chapter for the space and for the Swarovski Foundation’s efforts in creativity and culture.
Founded in 2013, the Swarovski Foundation’s mission is to build on this heritage by supporting charitable initiatives and organizations working in three areas of culture and creativity. Swarovski is a major patron of design, working with cultural institutions such as the Palace of Versailles, London’s V&A Museum, Design Miami/ Basel and Vienna Design Week to support their programs. Continuing its ongoing commitment to creativity, Swarovski collaborates with design talent to push the boundaries of what crystal and the creative mind can achieve.
