Award-winning actress, Olivia Colman illuminated the night in Conscious Luxury wearing an exquisite set of bespoke jewels designed by Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry, which featured the first-ever pink Swarovski Created Diamonds and radiated undeniable elegance with every move. The mesmerizing set included cluster earrings with detachable drops and two cocktail rings handcrafted in London. Reflecting pure wonder, the creations were made from responsibly sourced 18-karat white gold and sparkled with Swarovski Created Sapphires as well as our classic Swarovski Created Diamonds.
The cocktail ring spotlighted a 2.03-carat cushion cut pink – officially named ‘Fancy Purplish Pink’ – Swarovski Created Diamond with an intensity of color and style of cut that is rare in a lab-created diamond of this size. The hero stone was surrounded by a halo of Cabochon Star Rubies and pink Swarovski Genuine Topaz in articulated settings that added whimsical movement to the piece. The blue cocktail ring starred a 42-carat antique cushion cut Swarovski Created Sapphire, and the earrings featured eight Swarovski Created Sapphires totaling over 28 carats and radiated with delicate pink Swarovski Created Diamonds.
Closely collaborating with Miranda Almond, Colman’s stylist, inspiration for the jewelry was drawn from the intricate floral embroidery on Colman’s Alexander McQueen dress – a fitting choice as Swarovski has a long heritage of working with Alexander McQueen since the mid-1990s.
A day prior to the event, Swarovski – who was the Presenting Partner of BAFTA Film Session in Costume Design for the fourth year – held a panel to highlight its rich heritage in film, which was attended by BAFTA members, industry insiders and design students. Over the last 100 years, Swarovski has added sparkle to some of cinema’s most iconic moments by working closely with costume designers to bring their creative visions to life and magic to our screens. Illuminating the works of 2020’s costume design nominees, the brilliant panel featured long-time Swarovski collaborators Jany Temime, Sandy Powell and Arianne Phillips as well as Christopher Peterson and Mayes C. Rubeo.
Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry highlights its commitment to sustainability and innovation as well as its dedication to using responsibly sourced materials and methods to craft beautiful products with care, while striving to have a positive impact on people and the planet.
This commitment to sustainability is shared by Olivia Colman, who previously chose Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry for Film Awards in 2019 where she was awarded Best Actress.
