The showcase invited esteemed guests, including Japanese actress Nanao, to view pieces from Atelier Swarovski’s current Fine Jewelry and home décor ranges, launching for the first time in Japan at Swarovski Ginza. In addition, inspirational archive collections presented extraordinary crystal innovation by leading designers Jean Paul Gaultier, Viktor&Rolf, Christopher Kane, Maison Margiela, Karl Lagerfeld, Mary Katrantzou and more.
These iconic names were also recognized in the luxurious coffee table book created to mark the brand’s 10th anniversary – ‘Brilliant: The Story of Atelier Swarovski’ in partnership with Conde Nast – which captures the pioneering creative spirit of the brand and its incredible collaborations.
Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, commented: “Atelier Swarovski was founded to create inspiring collaborations with emerging and established design talent which push the creative boundaries of Swarovski crystal. We are excited to celebrate the brand’s enduring success over the past decade working with some of today’s leading creative minds, who so brilliantly understand the art of bringing our crystal to life.”
To further celebrate the occasion, Atelier Swarovski designer Jason Wu – also celebrating his 10th anniversary – created a limited edition Fine Bangle from his ‘Mosaic’ collection in nature-inspired shades of pink. Wu personally revealed the new piece at the exhibition, stating, “I wanted to celebrate this special milestone of Atelier Swarovski with something special for Japan. March happens to be the Cherry Blossom season and I had this idea to launch the Fine Bangle in rose gold with crystal rosaline pearls and varying shades of rose, blush and gold crystals.”
The Atelier Swarovski 10th Anniversary exhibition will be showcased throughout the month of March. ‘Brilliant: The Story of Atelier Swarovski’ and the Atelier Swarovski Spring/Summer 2018 collections are now available in Swarovski Ginza boutique, selected Swarovski stores and AtelierSwarovski.com.
