Mario: Visions with an eye for new developments
A passion for the technologies of tomorrow. Thinking out of the box. Actively shaping the future. Mario is Big Data Expert. He's working on cutting-edge projects in different business areas. Data science projects especially fascinate him: „One example is image recognition. This seemingly simple topic offers countless different areas of application.“ Swarovski's IT departments possess great technological know-how: „We always keep our eyes open for new trends and developments and contribute to the company's success.“
Manuela: Crystals are ubiquitous
Connecting the digital with the analogue. Creating something new. Staying curious. Manuela is Web Project Manager specialising in Google Analytics. She supports the marketing department as a kind of internal web agency: „I have to translate between the colleagues in marketing and the developers.“ Curiosity and an interest in solving complex problems are the cornerstones of her job. „Technology and know-how are the siblings of fantasy and creativity. One can’t exist without the other,” says Manuela. Swarovski’s many facets fascinate her: “Crystals are ubiquitous. They are almost everywhere.”
Mario: It’s the people who make machines brilliant
They work with clockwork precision. They’re worldwide unique. And full of surprises. Mario burns for his machines and he knows exactly how they tick. “You do get attached to them,” says the Production Operator. Swarovski offers the highest technological standards and varied workdays: “Every day, we are producing different articles, facing different challenges.” It’s what motivates him: “I like my job in all its facets.”
Benjamin: Richly faceted, layer for layer
A passion for sparkling brilliance. An eye for details. A clear view of the bigger picture. Benjamin is Production Operator. His mission: Perfectly cut crystals and a smooth production process. Benjamin operates and controls the cutting machines. Equipped with a light and a precision magnifier, he takes a close look at every single facet. Benjamin enjoys not only the work itself, but also the work environment at Swarovski: “The atmosphere in my team is fun. And shift work gives me a lot of free time.”
Julia: Realizing potentials, one day at a time
Optimizing the existing. Developing the unprecedented. Passing disciplines’ limits. As Project Manager in the area of technology, Julia renders crystal production even more innovative and efficient. The engineer’s job is diverse: “We adapt existing machines or work on new, complex systems.” Julia values the cooperation within her team and the communication with other departments. On a technological level, “every day, Swarovski offers the opportunity to learn something new.”
Christian: That sparkle in their eyes
Brilliant technological characteristics. Endless possibilities. Fascinating results. Christian is Product Development Manager in the area of functional elements. He turns a customer's wish into a crystal design. „Crystals are very flexible, in the artistic as well as the technical field,“ Christian explains. The most beautiful thing about his job, he says, is „the sparkle in our customers’ eyes when they see the finished product“. The creative exchange of ideas is particularly easy in the open working environment of Swarovski's Campus 311.
