Our Austrian roots go all the way back to 1895, when Daniel Swarovski moved to the village of Wattens in Austria, with his newly invented machine for cutting and polishing crystal jewelry stones. Swarovski crystals soon caught the eye and sparked the imagination of customers all around the world – including the leading fashion designers of Paris.
In 1979 Swarovski began its presence in the United States with manufacturing in Providence, Rhode Island. To satisfy the demand for Swarovski crystal production in the United States, the company relocated from Providence to a new manufacturing facility in Cranston, Rhode Island in 1980. With deep roots already established in the area, it was in 2007 that this location transformed into a regional headquarters, as all production and the manufacturing moved back to Wattens, Austria. Swarovski North America headquarters employs over 350 employees within the Cranston office. Join our family today and begin your sparkling journey with us.
