Relying heavily on the concept of collaboration, Stefan, and his team have re-launched the Christmas Ornaments department. While the company’s Christmas Ornaments have been around for more than 25 years, the process was overdue for an overhaul to meet the needs of today’s customer and to suit the demands of the current market. The team first applied the Value-Stream-Approach (VSM) to analyze the entire system and then completely overhauled it. The result was across-the-board improved stability, a keen focus on motivation and employee empowerment, and Industry 4.0 Control. The process created an agile, leaner, and highly efficient A to Z model that transformed what was essentially the result of a lot of people working individually into one compact, collaborative, effective effort.
