Beyond operations, the brand aims to drive positive change and tackle challenges in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Currently, Swarovski is working with colleagues and experts in and around production centers in Thailand, Vietnam and India to invest in staff and community programs that provide fair opportunities, female empowerment and water stewardship.
Swarovski is committed to systemic change in the jewelry industry - using the strength of its business and brand to promote collective action. The company collaborates with its peers to create industry-wide change, and participates in industry-led initiatives such as the Responsible Jewelry Council, the Working Group on Coloured Gemstones, and BSR’s Responsible Luxury Initiative and Action for Women program. More widely, Swarovski is also a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, the Women’s Empowerment Principles and the World Economic Forum’s Compact for Responsive and Responsible Leadership.
Looking to the future, Swarovski aims to change attitudes across jewelry and fashion through its work on Conscious Design, creating products which are Responsibly Sourced and Crafted with Care, collaborating with emerging and established designers to produce and promote responsible collections, and embracing a vision of jewelry and fashion as fair and green.
