Natural inspiration was abundant this year with new Zirconia cuts that were inspired by organic shapes and flowers. The Swarovski Zirconia Dahlia features a 10-sided surface brilliantly resembling the petals of its namesake while maintaining the flexibility of a center or accent stone. The English Rose was also on display with the Swarovski Zirconia Round Rosebush cut which is reminiscent of the pristine beauty of a Cotswold country garden.
Flower power was in full force with the Swarovski Zirconia Bloom Cut—a strong stone whose inspiration harkens back to the 70s with its warm color palate and celebration of florals. Earthy tones were also on display with the Swarovski Zirconia Caramel—a complex deep brown that both smolders like an ember or blazes like a flame, depending upon the setting. Contrasting the rich colors was the Swarovski Zirconia Fancy Light Green—a bright and fresh color that imbues a sense of joie de vivre.
Mastery of precision came to life in the new Nano product range, a castable glass ceramic now available in a Round Pure Brilliance Cut that offers modern designers limitless creative potential. In just the blue spectrum, Nano has tremendous variety: a refined, royal expression with the Nano Sapphire Blue Dark, a subtle elegance with the Nano Ocean Grey Dark, down to the intense teal hue of Nano London Blue Dark.
The newest Topaz cut—Puresse—is an intricate design that marries the simplicity of a cabochon dome with the complexity of a facetted body. Available in various shades of blue its water drop appearance pays homage to the most vital of elements.
Celebrating the earth’s mineral elements, Swarovski Gemstones introduced four new cuts of Marcasite that showcase a perfect balance of traditional metallic luster and modern brilliance. Inspired by geometric structures, the Swarovski Marcasite Checkerboard Cut and Honeycomb Cuts showcase precision of cut while allowing for a deeply intense sparkle. The Honeycomb Cut in particular allows individual stones to shine and form a grand structure akin to the cut’s name. Graphic interpretations continued with the Swarovski Marcasite Peak Cut, whose facets highlight the opaque reflections of marcasite, while the Swarovski Marcasite Dome Cut offers a more radiant iridescence.
Building on the vision of company founder Daniel Swarovski and his revolutionary machinery for precision cutting jewelry stones, Swarovski remains dedicated to the development of perfect, cutting edge cuts and colors that bring out the full potential and inherent beauty of every single stone.
